UPDATE – EPIPEN® 300MCG ADRENALINE AUTOINJECTORS SUPPLY FROM ASCIA
Mylan has advised that normal stock of EpiPen® 300mcg adrenaline autoinjectors is expected to be available in pharmacies by late February 2018. Please note that supply of EpiPen® Jr 150mcg adrenaline autoinjectors is unaffected. A process has been put in place by Mylan to ensure those at risk of anaphylaxis have access to the treatment they may need.
ASCIA suggests that patients requiring an EpiPen® 300mcg autoinjector take their expired, soon to be expired, or used EpiPen® device/s to their local pharmacy. Pharmacists should then contact Mylan (ph 1800 274 276 or email au.sales.support@mylan.com) to obtain instructions on how to access emergency supply. Individuals will be able to access one in-date adrenaline autoinjector until the shortage resolves by late February 2018. It is important to note that a device expiring in February 2018 does not actually expire until the end of that month, not the start of that month.
